Improve your health and flexibility with yin yoga and Self-Myofascial Release.
This style of yoga is ideal for complete beginners to athletes and requires no previous experience.
On this 2-hours workshop we will combine the use of myofascial release techniques and Yin Yoga asanas to increase / gain flexibility. Myofascial Release is a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. In this class, students will be guided on how they can use tennis balls and foam roller to apply the appropriate amount of sustained pressure to facilitate release of the fascia using their own body weight and movement.
Following, the student will then be guided into Yin Yoga postures in order to stress the tissues in the target area so as to increase circulation and improve flexibility. Stillness in each posture is observed for 3 to 5 minutes.
We will finish the workshop with a nice sound bath relaxation to complete and relax the mind to prepare you for another week ahead.
